Fresh from winning the global vote at the Eurovision Song Contest, with their uplifting anthem Spirit in the Sky, KEiiNO toured Australia in 2019, performing multiple sell-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne and winning a new legion of fans in Adelaide and Brisbane.

Since then, the band, consisting of Alexandra Rotan, Tom Hugo and Fred Buljo have released hit after hit, including the album Okta and the singles Monument, Dancing in the Smoke, Venus, End of Time and Unbreakable, amassing over 100 million streams around the world.

On the KEiiNOZ Tour KEiiNO will play in full band format, taking it up a notch from their previous visit and bringing a new dimension to their mix of electronic pop with Nordic folk melodies and joik, the traditional form of song of the Sami people, the indigenous people of Norway.

“We’ve toured with our band the last couple of years, which consists of some of Norway’s finest musicians”, explains Tom Hugo. “And they definitely take our songs to the next level. Many of our songs have a heavily produced electro sound, but they all were composed just with an acoustic guitar and a melody. So, bringing back “real” instruments into the produced sound just makes them even more energetic. We’ve also spent time in lockdown improving the visual aspects of the show, so our concerts will definitely be a step up for those who saw us in 2019”.

To celebrate the announcement of the Australian tour KEiiNO have released a new surprise single A New Beginning (out now), a collaboration with a young Norwegian artist Peder Elias marking the beginning of a new year, after the challenges the world has faced in 2021. Stream the track here.

KEiiNO are sure to light up the stage and bring their trademark Norwegian charm to the Gold Coast when they appear on Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2022. “As big Eurovision-fans, we like extravaganza, and always try to bring something extra when at a party” laughs Tom. “More is more, or as my great-grandmother used to say “It’s not a problem if the sausage is too long”. So there might be a few surprises both in the set-list and line-up for some of the shows.”

The whole tour promises to be an event not to be missed.
