THE WOLFE BROTHERS WIN 3 GOLDEN GUITARS IN LEAD UP TO PERFORMANCES WITH THE TASMANIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

It seems that the title track of their latest ARIA nominated album “Livin’ The Dream” and the title of their current single “Nothin Better To Me” have in fact prophetically summed up everything about the current trajectory of Tasmania’s favourite sons The Wolfe Brothers.

Last week during the Tamworth Country Music Festival the duo were honoured as this year’s recipients of the Galaxy Of Stars award joining the greats of Australian country music by having their own bronze plaque embedded into the forecourt of the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre. On the same day they celebrated this career milestone by performing two sold out concerts at the legendary Longyard Hotel.

Last Saturday night at the Australian Country Music Awards they took home 3 Golden Guitars, bring their career total to nine, further cementing them in the history books as the most awarded duo in Australian Country Music history.

Another career highlight is on the horizon for April this year when the band will be teaming up with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra for two incredible shows in Tasmania.

Tom Wolfe said “We have worked incredibly hard with composer/arranger/conductor Tom Rimes to take our songs and tell our story, a story of how our State has influenced our song writing and therefore our entire career since day one. To bring our songs and Australian country music together with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in a way that has never been done before is an amazing experience for us”.

The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s CEO Caroline Sharpen said  “The 2024 season includes unique events like high-energy performances with home-grown superstars The Wolfe Brothers, who will join the full orchestra in Hobart and Launceston.”

Nick added with a laugh “They’re not your typical backing band; we’re super-excited by the prospect of joining forces with the TSO to celebrate home-grown music-making in Tassie. And to think… the only subject I ever failed was classical music theory”.

The two shows will take place on:

● Saturday 20th April at Princess Theatre, Launceston TAS

It has been an amazing 12 year ride for The Wolfe Brothers. Four #1 and two #2 ARIA Country Albums up until now. 19 #1 singles on the National Radio Chart. Nine Golden Guitars under the belt making them the most awarded country rock duo ever in Australia. There is no doubt that the former postman (Nick) and carpenter (Tom) are definitely Livin’ The Dream.
