As life at the Chateau continues to evolve, we will share our insight into what it takes to live your dream and build a forever home.
Over the past eight years, millions of viewers across the world have been enthralled by the adventures of retired Lieutenant Colonel, engineer and chef, Dick, and his entrepreneur and designer wife, Angel. Now, following two sell out UK tours, the pair are heading back out on the road, sharing even more of the adventures, challenges, and successes of building and living their Chateau dream.
Forever Home is the charismatic couple’s biggest tour yet! Alongside, untold stories and laughs to be shared, this intrepid couple, will be daring to do something a little different by shining the spotlight on their audience with a highly interactive show.
During this entertaining evening, contestants from every theatre will get the opportunity to win a place on stage to compete against each other for the title of their town’s Escape to the Chateau – Jack of All Trades.
Guests can expect anything and everything from icing a cake to plumbing and electrics, no task is out of bounds and it’s guaranteed to get messy!

About Dick and Angel Strawbridge
Dick and Angel’s eyes first met across a crowded room in 2010. Attracted to each other’s resourcefulness, they quickly became a couple and following a romantic holiday near Carcassonne in the South of France fell in love with the country and lifestyle and set about trying to buy a simple house. It quickly became apparent that their dream home was within their reach and could also double as an exciting business venture using their natural skills for hosting events, cooking, renovation and interior design. In 2015, Dick and Angel’s search ended when they found a derelict fairy tale chateau with 45-rooms, a moat, orangery, 12 acres, 7 outbuildings and huge potential for their new life in France. They moved in with no electricity, water or sewage and set to work on their dream. Their adventures have been recorded in the Channel 4 ratings busting ‘Escape to the Chateau’, ‘Escape to the Chateau DIY’ and ‘Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend’. Chateau de la Motte Husson offers elegant vintage weddings, corporate events, luxury glamping experiences and a variety of one-of-a-kind events. In 2020, they released their first co-written best-selling book ‘A Year at the Chateau’ followed by ‘Living the Chateau Dream’ in 2021, both of which have sold copies all over the world. The third and final instalment ‘Forever Home’ will be published in October 2023. The Strawbridges have travelled the UK twice with their ‘Dare to Do It’ Tour. In 2023, they took the Tour to Australia and New Zealand. With more exciting projects in the pipeline – including exploring their adopted homeland in a new series for Channel 4 ‘Escape to the Chateau: Secret France’ – the couple are as busy as ever.
